Next to Mrs. Kreis, Mildred Glawe, retiring Home, 12237 S. Western ave. last Saturday evening.American Legion Post 50 Joint Installation of officers took place last Saturday evening, August 5th.Officers installed the ensuing year of 1972-73 are as follows: Post Officers— Commander, Joseph Pilch;Sr. Vice Commander, Charles Westcott; 1st Jr. Vice Commander, Bob Kahmark; 2nd Jr. Vice Commander, Ken Manning;Adjutant, Joel Stark; Finance Officer, Eugene Brennan; Chaplain, Danile Buress; Sergeant-at-Arms, Richard McCasland; and Historian, Sam Staycoff.Auxiliary officers — President, Judith Kreis; 1st Vice President, Charlotte Westcott; 2nd Vice President, Vera Peterson; Secretary, Barbara Buress;AnneChaplain,Treasurer,Lubieniecki;Marge Ruthenberg; Historian, Patricia Deady; and Sergeant-at-Arms, Margaret Brouette.Outoing Commander Lesand outgoing Mildred Glawe in the installing along with installing officers David Wun-der and Margaret Collatz.NiebertPresident took part ceremonyHighlight of the evening was Commander Joe Pilch’s address to the audience of 170 members and friends. Commander Pilch thanked all for coming and introduced a long list of VIP’s present from other Posts. Sixteen American Legion Posts from the 8th District were represented Honored guest was Mrs. Victor Lello, new department president of theAmerican Legion Auxiliary,Department of Illinois.Refreshments were served following the ceremony and music to the tune of the Sentalmentalist followed for dancing.This Saturday evening, August 12 at 7 p.m , Margaret Collatz erf Post 50’s Auxiliary will be installed as 8th District President.
