Swenson, 43, Dr., a seere-V (Channel 3) been active in ■ High Schooli officer in the unity Associa-CASHTON — Chester M, Mit-by, 74, Cash ton, died Friday in a La Crosse hospital.He was a lifelong resident of Cash ton and was an auctioneer.He was active in community affairs, served on the Village Hoard, and was assessor for many years.Surviving in Madison is a son, Norman Mitby, 4413 Waite Lane, the director of the Madison Area Technical College.Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. dames Wangen, Loyal, and Mrs, Charleton Mills, Bloomington, Minn.; three sis-ters, Mrs. Clyde Wykoff,- Mankato, Minn,; Mrs. Earl Trowbridge, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Oscar Guilord, La Cresse, and five grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Cashton.Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mitby home, Cashton, and from 10 a.m. until the funeral Monday at the church.MT. HOREB ~ Mrs. Lawrence Swiggum, 77, died Fridayat a Verona nursing home.The former Nellie Grirastad was married to Lawrence Swiggum in 1927, She was a member of the Perry Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society.Surviving are her husband; and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Christianson, Wausau, and Mrs. Theodore Rollefson, North wood, Iowa.The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Perry Lutheran Church.
