Robinson on the Pass Christian War Memorial Park Association; a report on the Park Commission by G.A. Schmidt, member, and chairman of the finance committee; theseafood committee, by H. L. Swift,chairman, who reported on the findings with regard to the oyster industry here and the destruction from the opening of the BonnetCarre Spillway. •Congressman William M. Col-mer was commended in a letterfor the introduction of a House bill to authorize funds for the restocking and replanting of theoyster reefs. Dr. W. W. Lake, C. of C. president, complimented the manner on which the seafood committee worked to this end.Communications were read from J. F. Galloway, member of the Seafood Commission, from Mr. Colmer and other sources. A report on the fish and game committee was read from R. C. Hammett, chairman, revealing that an extensive amount of fish had been stocked in the nearby bayous under the committee’s 1945 program. Capt. John T. McDonald was directed a vote of thanks for his recent contribution to the matter of the oyster reefs here.A report on the servicemen’s letter, Pass in Review, was given by J. W. Terrell, chairmaa. The meeting voted to participate in the purchase of a $350 library as a memorial for the SS Pass Christian, Victory ship now under construction. The library will be for use on the vessel for members of the crew. The library will bemarked by bookplates and a plague from the City of Pass Christian.J.
