Marings celebrate50th anniversaryMR. AND MRS. HOWARD MAR1NGMr. and Mrs. Howard Maring, former Ottumwans. will observe their golden wedding anniversary Saturday. Their address is Route 1, Box 81, Decatur, 01.Howard Maring and Grace Twing were married Aug. 14,1926, at Davenport. They lived in Kewanee, 111., eight years before moving to Ottumwa in 1934.Maring is a retired John Deere tool and die maker and she operated Grace's Antiques before moving to Decatur. They were members of the Ottumwa Free Methodist Church for 34 years.There will be a dinner at Decatur for them Saturday. A reception for them will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at 18 Surrey Lane in Decatur. Their daughter. Mrs. James Penwell, and her family will be hosts. They have two grandchildren.
