WELLER The ninth annual I-Iarbaugh reunion was ushered in upon a very propitious day, as Saturday provedto be one of the most delightful days of the season; and many ofthe elan reached Pen Mar park*quite early, aft^l the forenoon was most pleasantly spent socially, friends meeting friends, and others forming new friendships and tieswhich will endure through theyears to come. Later many familygroups were seen surrounding tables, groaning .under loads of delicious fare which was being. I fquently and feelingly of the noble lives and kindjy acts sind deeds of these two distinguished members of the Ilarbaujjh family, having, in part, descended from the samp line, ex-Judge Gillan’s grandmother being a Harbaugh by bifth, and Mr. Walter being equally allied by blood. What he said of-these men will be cherished and live in the hearts of thP Harbaugh line, endearing their memories more greatly than ev.er before, for it was not known by many that they were thus related to them. ,If it were possible, we wouldgladly repeat every word of the speaker, who, by reason of his extensive business and sociul relations with these men was so well able to spealc the .more intimately of both their public and domestic lives, their noble characters, theirachievements, and their kindness ofheart, Mr. Walter, in many ways, being the compeer of ex-Judge Lilian, and a mpst successful jurist at the. bar. AS ;a judge of the court, ex-Judge Gillan was noted for his just decisions, and pt the same time for his mercy where needed. As a judge of the juvenile court, his sympathetic heart and greatkindness, and his fatherly advice saved the life of many a child from a corrupted and ruined course, toGRJ*mUm. BCrs. R.
