Mr. and Mrs. Ransom McLaughlin of Milan Township Remembered By Friends and Neighbors.in the neighborhood of eighty friends and neighbors dt Mr. and; Mrs. Ransom McLaughlin, who reside in Milan townehip, took them by surprise last evening reminding them that the day was the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding.The evening was pleasantly spent in a social manner, in the course of which Elmer Cook made some pleasing remarks, which were responded to by Mr. McLaughlin. Esther Ruck and Ruth Butler sang, “On Our Golden Wedding Day.”As a token of their esteem of the venerable couple the friends took along with them two comfortable rocking chairs, which were presented to the bride and groom of half a century, with the hope that they might be worn out by them.
