She loves to make people happy and being classed as one of the top pup-petters in the coungry, she exeells in her creative jobs.Mrs. George Creegan was born in Steubenville June 18, 1937, a daughter of Frank and Millie Quattrone and 'when questioned about her training especially in the design field, with a look of love and devotion she said “God given talent, my mother.”Giving credit where it is due, after spending many hours with the entire George Creegan family, we must say JoAnn’s talents really came to full bloom when she and George were stationed in Germany for two years. “George was in the armed forces at the time and he was put in charge of children’s programming at the post’s television station, and We really started from scratch, when it came to the puppets,” JoAnn said.According to JoAnn her only talents in singing was in the church choir, while George was feo.rn with a beautiful singing voice. The more the Creegans began experimenting with puppets they discovered that JoAnn had an unusual talent to change her voice for different characters.If we would break down the phases in this lovely lady’s life, we could write several feature stories. She loves working with her husban^, she loves the international reputation as innovators in the field of animated-I!__1____..i__ i.stands, starting at 6 a.m. and would end around 9 p.m. These were rough days, but the children we workea with were so great it left us with a tremendous feeling at the end ofeach day,” she said.Let’s take a trip to the Creegan’s home where We will find every one involved.* Sean, the only son in the family, is off to a ballgame and number one child, Mary Elaine, 18, has spent a busy day at Creegan’s in downtown Steubenville. We find that the twins, Joan and Kathleen, 15, have prepared a full course dinner for the family.Now don’t tHihk^Mary Elaine is the only teenager in the family involved in. the family business, they all’are. As we have said they not only live and love together as a family, they also work together.The twins are also responsible for the. household duties. “They are excellent cooks,” their mother said. “They might have a trouble once in a while with a wash load of delicate clothes, but outside of that they do alright.”The girls love all sports especially their softball team in which their father is the coach.As we were served coffee in the sunlit kitchen by the girls, JoAnn commented, “my days I feel are the most rewarding that caabe found, because I am atthe time a mother, a wife, a business woman, buyer, designer, decorator, coach’s wife and team mother. In one given day I can go from a board meeting at a mail to grilling hot dogs for the team. I feel the most rewarding thing one canreally values her relationship with Miss Carolyn Miller of 313N. 7th St., Steubenville. “Carolyn was a second mother to my four children when George and I were on the road (the Creegan’s have four display centers in Dallas, Atlanta, New York and Chicago) with out work, I am very proud of my children and where my duties and love to them left off while I was away, Carolyn took up the slack.Today, Carolyn is the manager of the toy shop that is adjacent to the large store on Washington Street.JoAnn is a happy person. She is blessed with four beautiful children that are equally as proud of her as George is,George and JoAnn feel the same way about working with each olfier. “I am specially blessed because I can work with my husband and help him attain the goals and desirees he has and have my children taking a part in our home life as well as working with us. It’s truly a family affair and I feel everyday being us a special closeness that not every family can experience. God has been very good to me. My family is great the peop1? who work for me are special the people who work for me are special and the friends who I see everyday in our store are the nicest people in the world. I just feel I’m a very lucky woman but a Mrs. not Ms., JoAnn added.This beautiful mother, devoted wife, top notch business woman in her field, has been around the world almost, but yet she is a down to earth person, one that is concernedfor hor fellowman anH he»r* main
