SUNDAY, AUGUST 8, 1976FIRST PASTOR — Lewis Cress (center) plays Pastor Adolph Nussman, first Lutheran pastor in North Carolina, in the outdoor drama, “The Light Here Kindled,” which was presented Saturday at St. John s Lutheran Church. Pastor Nussman meets with members of the St. John’s congregation that had already built three churches before his arrival, played by (left to right) Patty Misenheimer, Mrs. Ned Hudson, Melanie Hudson, Carolyn Bost and Ned Hudson.
