Weld Mental Health Center gets grantThe Weld Mental Health Center has been awarded a 5154,716 grant for children's services. Hep. James P. Johnson- (R-Colo.) announced Wednesday.The grant, beginning Aug. 1, monies from the National Institute of Mental Health. It vill provide 80 per cent of 'the staffing costs for 15 menial lealth workers.Center officials said the staff vill be used to expand services o children and their families in Weld County.The program, under the iirection of Dr. Randall Stith, vill include the following jrograms:— A crisis intervention program'which will provide evaluations and short-term intensive therapy to children and their families.— Consultation and education -services to schools and other agencies.— In-patient and out-patient services to children with ’ emotional problems.The Weld Mental Health Center is a non-profit corporation. Charles Smith of-Greeley is president of the board or directors and Dr.:Richard Crijjc is executive director.
