Rev. Woodie Smith Surprised On Birth Date AnniversaryRev. Woodie Smith of the East Fourth street Baptist church was honoree at a surprise party given by his wife on his birthday Sunday morning. The party was attended by the deacons and Sunday school supertntendeent of the church. Rev. Smith wag detained at the church aftejr the morning service by his ‘little boy until the guests were assembled in the living room. Then I he was greet'd with a birthday * I party, lifter which he was presented ' with a number of lovely gifts. The guests were: Messrs. I^e Nuckles. Moll Thurman. Jenver Yates. Ah vin Smith, Cleorge \\ inslow, Doug Thompson and th* pastor.
