m. aMr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Alkire SrMr., Mrs. J. Alkire Observe Silver Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Alkire Sr., Fort Ashby, W.Va.,were honored recently on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. The celebration took place at the Berean Independent Baptist Church, Fort Ashby, and was hosted by theirchildren.The couple was wed Jan. 14, 1963 in Hagerstown. Mrs. Alkire, the former Linda Twigg, is the daughter of Roy S. Twigg Sr., Fort Ashby, and the late Mary C. (Clem) Twigg. Mr. Alkire is employed at Westvaco. The couple belongs to the Berean Independent Baptist Church.Mr. and Mrs. Alkire are the Darents of three children, PamTimbrook, Shanks, W.Va.; Joseph N. Alkire Jr., Fort Ashby; and Robyn Alkire, at home. They also have two grandchildren, Stacey and T. J. Timbrook.A silver and white color scheme was used in the decorations. An arrangement ofwhite and baby blue carnationscentered the table.The couple was presented with a corsage and boutonniere by their grandchildren, and a guest book by their daughter, Robyn. Mr. and Mrs. Alkire were the recipients of numerous cards and a money tree.The couple took an anniversary trip to the Poconos and Niagara Falls.
