Sara Maa HalseyMOUNT NEBO — Sara Mae Halsey, 93, formerly of Meadow Bridge, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 2, 2004, at Autumn Way Personal Care Home in Rupert following a long illness.Bom May 2, 1911, at Shaw-ver, she was the daughter of the late A.E. and Julemma Jane Legg Shawver.Mrs. Halsey had worked for Meadow River Lumber Co. during its prime in the shoe department as a concaver. She was a member of the congregation Jehovah Witnesses of Rainelle.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Halsey; a sister, Lela Douglas; and two brothers, Luster and Carl Shawver.Survivors include a daughter, Sara L. O’Dell of Mount Nebo; a sister, Mary Fae Harris of Rainelle; three grandchildren, Joel O’Dell, Sara K. Rader and Jean McAdams; and five great-grandchildren.Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with Mr. Jim Copland as speaker. Burial will follow in Wickline Cemetery, Meadow Bridge.Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Arrangements by Wallace Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
