Scottville High Class Of 1926 Holds ReunionSCOTTVILLE - The class of 1926, Scottville High School, held its 50th class reunion, on the evening of July 31, at the Swedish Coffee Pot.During the social hour, punch was served, and old acquaintances renewed. Class members introduced husbands and, or wives.LeRoy Dumas, class president, officially welcomed all present, and called upon Leila Barnett for the Invocation. Following this, all clasped hands, and a moment of silent prayer for deceased members, was observed. These are Nettie Miller Selby, Mabel Allison Bloomer, Elmer Potter, Rupert Stevens and Carl Spuller.Each member gave a brief resume of life during the intervening years. Following this Loretta Burg, wife of a class member, read an original poem dedicated to the Golden Anniversary of the class. Herman Flickinger, author of the class prophecy, was called upon for the reading. Lelia Barnett gave the class will; also the reading of the four years of class history. All three unleashed a flood of long dormant memories, once again brought to life, love and laughter. A message of signatures was sent to Mrs.William Dodge (Boots” Schulte), who is hospitalised at Manistee. She was a graduate of 1927. (IreneGenter), Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Ethel Green) Altrock, Ludington, Mr, and Mrs.Clarence (Vera Humbarger) Moline, Hicksville, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Meads,Ludington, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Jessie Martin) Leets, Anaheim, Cal. Also, Mr, and Mrs. Harold (Muriel Parker) Bevan9, Hesperia, Mrs. Floyd Wolfe (Grace Sherburn) and daughter, Lois Anderson, Ludington, Mr. and Mrs.Lawrence Selby, Lupton, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Barnett, Ludington (Lelia Willis), Leonard Walle, Detroit, Helen Zweigle Bartlett (Mrs, Floyd, or H.C.), Ludington. Listed are 17 class members attending.Los Angeles school children spent $1.5 million on candy last year.
