C., Assistant Chaplain St. Mary's Acaclomy, Notre Darned Intl. Father Goldsmith, of Columbus Catholic Orphau Asylum, was master of cer-eraouius. The sermon, a very impressive and eloquent one, was preached by Father Speeht- After the sermon aud mass Bishop Watterson spoke a few words of congratulation.In tho afternoon the procession quickly formed in front of the church and promptly at one o’clock took up tho line of march. The procession numbered over r»00. Many visitors from neighboring cities were in attendance at the celebration and helped swell the processiou. First in line camo the grand marshals on horseback. Bishop Watterson, Father Noonan and others then followed in carriages of which thoro were six. The Knights of St- George in uniform followed next. Thoro were seventy-live of them from I ronton and they made a very handsome appearance. The River City baud furnished the music. The Portsmouth order of Knights of St. John, St. l'eter Benovolont society, the Portsmouth Knights of St. George,and Ancient Order of Hibernians proceeded a long line of carriages. The procession was three squares long aud made one of the best appearances of auy procession ever seen in the citv.
