Celebrate 50 YearsMr. and Mrs. Bascom Richardson of Route 1 in Randleman were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary at the Quaker LakeConference Center in Climax on July 25 from 2 -5 p. m.Hosts and hostesses for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Richardson,of Jamestown. Mr. and Mrs. BruceRichardson, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Richardson of Jamestown. Mr. and Mrs. John Scripps of Jenison, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shafer of Lexington, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mayo of Hyattsville, Md.Approximately 200 guests were registered by the couple’s grandchildren, Miss Debbie Richardson and Mrs. Beverly Angel, and Miss Karen Cox.The honored couple was presented with a corsage of yellow rosebuds and a yellow rosebud boutonniere.Refreshments were served from tables covered with yellow cloths overlaid with white crocheted cloths and centered with arrangements of yellowgladioli, white carnations and yellowroses. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Henry Marley of Pleasant Garden, Mrs. Harry Johnson of Mt. Airy, Mrs. W. I. Green of Charlotte, Mrs. Denver Cottingham of Kernersville and Mrs. Herb Kirkman of Greensboro, sisters of Mrs. Bascom Richardson.The Richardsons were married on June 2, 1921. They have 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
