Holtz-buig in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.An invitation to the occasion is being tendered to all of their friends and relatives by Mr. and Mrs. Holtzburg.On Aug. 10, 1892, Elmer E. Holtzburg married the former Flora Belle Hendee at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hendee, in Spencer.A native of Kansas, and a pioneer settler in the new territory of Oklahoma, Mr. Holtzburg met his bride when he came to Ohio to work on the construction of the railroad now known as the A., C. and Y.After their marriage they took up housekeeping in Akron where he went to work for the B. F. Goodrich Rubber company. Twoyears later they returned to Spencer and lived with Mrs. HoUz-burg’s family for the following five years.^They then again returnee! to Akron and remained there five years while Mr. Holtzburg worked again for Goodrich. In 19t)4 they bought a farm between Granger and Hinckley and have made Medina county their home evei .since.The Hoitzburgs also lived in Weymouth township for several years before moving to Melt;iina in 1924. During their residence here, Mr. Holtzburg w'orked for the village and county and was night watchman for 14 years until his retirement two years ago.The Hoitzburgs have three children, Mrs. Fred Schindelholz of Weymouth, Mrs. Ernest Hanshue of Medina and Mrs. Hugh Dague. also of Medina. There are also five grandchildren.Mr. Holtzburg is 74 years of age and Mrs. Holtzburg is 69.
