OAK PARKERS LIKE PALOS GOLF COURSEPalos golf course of the Forest Preserve District is the favorite of many residents of Oak Park, a survey recently made by Clayton F. Smith, President of the Board of Forest Preserve Commissioners reveals. The beauty of the surrounding terrain, the hills and valleys andthe excellence of the course itself is the attraction, players assert.A club house with shower baths, lockers and other advantages please players, and a dirng room n which dainty but substantial sandwiches or an excellent full course dinner are obtainable gratifies appetites whetted by a play over the 18 sporty holes.Palos golf course is on 107th street, a half mile west of Wolf road. Veteran golfers pronounce it one of the sportiest in the state. Novice players like its hills. The hills give an advantage over any other course hereabouts in as much as they shed water rapidly, and players can go over the course almost immediately after the heaviest of showers.“Palos is my favorite course,” President Smith says, “because it has so many pleasing and attractive advantages.”
