REMARKABLE FAMILY'ive Generations Are Holding a Celebration-Four Generations hiving Together Happily.Beardstown, III., July 28.—l ive generations o fone family are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of* Mrs. Elizabeth Biggars. of this place. Four generations are living happilyand peacefully in a single hom®.*Two Beards town babies, less than a year old,constitute the fifth generation. Mrs. Biggars is a most highly cultured and educated lady. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1S0H, and when but 5 years old crossed the ocean with her parents to the new’ country of America. The family settled in Philadelphia.In early young womanhood she was married to Isaac Borden. Resigning her duties in the postotiice, she moved with her husband to Rochester, X. V., where thoir cllildren, ten in number, were born. Three children died infancy, and one. J. E. Borden, died at Leavenworth, Kan., in 1801-*, at the age of 57 years. Six children are yet living: Mrs. Mary Neiss, aged 81 years, living with her mother, and Is as active as many a woman only half her age.
