REABUCKTRIBUNE-DEMOCRAT EBENSBURG BUREAUEBENSBURG About 810 Cambria County properties, including several owned by Republic Technologies International in Johnstown’s 13th Ward, are scheduled for sale for unpaid taxes Sept. 11.But the property owners have until then to pay the taxes or begin a payment program to save the properties from going on the auction block, said Sam Runzo, director of the county’s tax claims bureau.Republic Technologies’ delinquent tax bills for 1998 and 1999 total $72,922 for its 13th Ward properties,including nearly 26 acres on the Conemaugh River below Point Stadium and one on Walnut Street, accord ing to tax records.None of the listed Republic Technologies properties are in Franklin Borough, where it has a steelmaking facility that is being closed.
