Swenson of Spanish Fork.They will be honored at an Open House on Sunday, May 3, from 2 until 5 p.m. Friends are invited to visit them at their home, 350 N. 2nd E. The familyrequests no gifts.James H. Swenson and Hannah G. Snell were married m the Manti Temple, on May 1, 1907.They were both bora in San-ish Fork, and have lived in the community most of their lives. During the early years of their married life, they lived in Le-land. Mr. Swenson has been a successful cattleman and farmer. He and a half-brother were partners in the show business in Spanish Fork for many years.Both Mr. and Mrs. Swenson have been active in civic and church affairs. At one time, Mr. Swenson was organist for his ward and is a High Priest. He has also been a sportsman who loved to fish and hunt.Mrs. Swenson has held positions in the M.I.A., Sunday School, and Relief Society organizations. Part of her work in the Relief Society was as theology leader on the Palmyra Stake Board. She has been a member of the Ladies Literary Club for many years, and has served as an officer of the clubin various capacities. She has often been called upon to write tributes and give talks for social functions.Mr. and Mrs. Swenson have had four children: James Dean Swenson, deceased; August Swenson and Martha S. Eaton, Spanish Fork; and Glen R. Swenson, Salt Lake City. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.(
