Tomorrowfii -■1CtlThe 1948 Lemon Fiesta Parade will take place tomorrow after- rlt; noon at 2 o’clock. All participants of the parade are to be on hand ^ on S. E. Boulevard at 1 p.m., when the parade will form. The parade will commence to move at 2 p.m. sharp.Many organizations and businesses have entered floats, motor 5 vehicles, animals and a variety of other entries. Many hundreds of t people will be involved. A difficult task of traffic control will be 3 faced by the Corona Police Department. For all these reasons it is imperative that the parade follow its schedule strictly.The route of the parade will be as already announced. It was found impossible to grant request to have a longer route due to the-number of youngsters who will be marching in the two bands, some of whom have to carry very heavy instruments.^ Route of the parade is as follows: Form on S. This will be the biggest parade in Fiesta history, definitely scheduled to participate, rain or shine. From past experience additional unannounced entries may be expected to appear at the last minute. What effect this will have on the final total of y 1 entries is easily understood, n The intersection' at Sixth and Main will be a very advantageous is site from which to view the Fiesta parade, since a public address s system will be located there to announce each entry. Just a couple y I of blocks up the street will be another busy spot where the parade judges will be busy determining who wins the various parade trophies and ribbons.Outstanding entries are too numerous to predict at this time. It ^ I is known, however, that a lot of organizations have been working n all hours of the day and night for the past few days in preparationi * /ri of floats. In addition to fine floats, a big number of beautiful animals ?- is expected. The Star Riding Club alone expects to have over 70 to I riders. Other beautiful horses and mounted saddles will be entered. ll; 1 Among the horse riders will be Gladys Hixon who has had a prominent role in Tournament of Roses parades in recent years.With a carnival and concessions established at the City Park and the Coronation Ball and Old Time Dance scheduled for tonight, the Corona Lemon Fiesta was underway today.
