SETTINCt:nJunior-Senior Banquet Held At the High School Monday Night In Unusual SettingbLARRY THIEHOFF THE DESIGNERSophomore Girls Garbed In Native Grass Dress of Islands, ServeAt the Tablesgg fts*ft• The annual Junior-Senior Banquet was held Monday evening in the Brookfield High school gymnasium at 7:30 o’clock, fhe gymnasium, decor-t!t eaated by members of the junior class,: ^ carried out the interesting and ap-!sPVEat:sP1bdSCsspropriate Hawaiian scheme. The ceiling and top half of the room was covered with blue crepe paper, and the lower half was hand painted in Hawaiian designs. On each side eight pin-up lamps and a moon at one end, furnished the lights. »The delicious menu, which furthered the use of the Hawaiian scheme by the tropical fruit served, was followed by an interesting program consisting of a “Welcome” by Billy Allen, president of the junior class; the “Response” by Bill Adams, president of the senior class; “Waikiki Group,” hy juniors and seniors; a solo by Jack Garrett; “Intermezzo,” toy Helen Hoover, and an “Island Dance,” toy Norma Gene Diehl.Other interesting contributions were the clever hula-doll individual favors, and the twenty sophomore girls dressed in Hawaiian costumes, who willingly served the group.One hundred and fifty-one attended this much looked-forward-to occasion, including the junior class members and their sponsor, Miss Ruth Rooker; the senior class members and their sponsor. Miss Dorothy Williams, and Supt. and Mrs. L. V. Crookshank.After the program, the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing to music which was provided by a* nickelodian.
