Trainmaster Maxwell lias been in Chicago the last few days prejiaring jjgarw for a new time card which will take effect on Sunday May ftth.A number of radical changes in the passenger schedules are shewn on the proofs of the card winch have been received, at the terminal headquarters but those interested, especially the passcn-er crews are in hopes tliat the figures will lc- again changed before the card becomes effective.New trains corresionding with the second sections of C and 11 which are now being operated will be known as 7 and S. No. 3z will be a local train be-; tween Omaha and Marion; 34 and 35 will ojerate between Perry and Manilla; ahead of No. C in the evening and 4 and 20 will 05*?rate between Tama and Marion.As soon as the card has bepn printed, new schedules as they effect Perry Pat-rens will be published.Engineer A. They arc- Slater, Robinson and Johnson. All three- of tlie brakemen have had considerable ox-lerience running the coal train so Brig-gle never has any instructions to issue. Frank Chapman’s smiling fac-e is again seen on the way freight run between Perry and Ferguson with Conductor Elmer Millard. Stephen Smith has displaced a younger man on Conductor Reel’s car and Fay Marsh and Fred Briggle are heading the extralisi-Seveml of the Isaac Walton’s have been putting in their spare time shinning up their fishing outfits so :u to lie ready- for business when the fishing season ojens.So far none of the men have left the service as they all understand that the lull in business will be but temporary And they are all staying here awaiting their return to their regular cars. The yard crews have ieen reduced to four shifts but as there are a number ofConductor Gaylord Courtney and En-gineer Harold Stoner started Sunday on their trip through the north and west.The travelling engineers are somewhat divided in their opinions of ct-r-tain departments of the railroad. When Joe Bodenberger was on the job at Perry he made a requsition for an office desk. The desk was so long coming that Mr. Bodenberger left the job and the desk arrived in due time for his successor, Mr. Lutxe.Joe Kirkwood, who has been on the engineers pull off list for a few days has been working as a hostler in place of one of the regular men.Word received from Mrs. Martha: Leonard, who has been in Texas all winter is to the effect that she and her son expect to return home within a few weeks.
