Mid State Mail veteran to retireSaturday, Mrs. Cleo Burg, Gypsum, will pour a last orange drink and serve a last hotdog at the Orange Bowl in Mid State Mall.Mrs. Burg, one of the Mall veterans, is retiring from the job of manager of the soft drink and snack stand. She has been employed by Mall firms from the early days of the facility at Salina's south edge.Mrs. Burg helped stock the Montgomery Ward store in the Mall in Sept., 1971, moved to the Sofro Fabrics shop in 1972 and joined the Orange Bowl as assistant manager and later manager the same year.The Mall merchants and employes gave her a retirement gift of a clock and cash.
