The interment was at Sheffield.Wednesday, the 17th of the present month, Mr. and Mrs. Ilenry Norden, living at East Grove, near the Rureau county line in Lee county, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage, which event took place on the same date in 1845. Mr. .Norden was born in 1818 and his wife in 1836. They came to this country from “l)er Fader-land” in 180*J. They are the parents of three children, two of whom, Ernest, and Mrs. Murtaugb. are still living and were present at the interesting function herein mentioned. Ernest Norden hadJuietly communicated with Rev. Theo. )rexel, pastor of the German Lutheran church of this city, to join the happy party in their festivities and help make the occasion a joyous one to the worthy old couple; and what with a few touching remarks by the pastor and a splendid dinner, the day passed oil very pleasantly to all concerned, there being none present but the immediate friends of the family. It is trusted that Mr. and Mrs. Norden will be amply able to celebrate their diamond wedding.
