At the 30:30 a.m. worship service at St. Marks United Methodist Church guest speaker, the Rev. John Chand of Winebrenner Seminary, will speak on the subject “Whyl Am A Christian.”Mr. Chand, a native of Chan-digarhv India, is a graduate of Punjah Univeristy of that country. He is currently a Senior student at Winebrenner Seminary in Findlay. Mr. Chand will graduate from the Seminary in June. He has a wife and two children still residing in India, whom he has not seen since 1966 — the son is now ten years of age and the daughter is six.Mr. Chand decided to go into the ministry later in life than usual and he risked much to come to this country without funds to pursue his goal. He received a one-year scholarship to Oak Hill Bible Institute, Bemidji, Minnseota in 1966. Beyond this, he did not know where further funds for his education would come until he obtained a scholarship for the final three years at Winebrenner Seminary in 1967.
