Marable Jr. withheld the jail sentences upon payment of the fine and court costs—-about $8.Rowland L. Sherrod, 19, of 926 Farmer St. pleaded innocent in the assault of an off-duty police officer, Officer D. W. Johnson, also pleaded innocent to assault charges placed against them by the manager of the theatre at which the three, with some 150 others, were 'em-onstrating. Sam Northington manager of the Century Theater, testified he was shoved on separate occasions by both.
