Wentworth of this place, celebrated their 47th wedding anmvetsary here at their home Thursday April 17. They have spent their entire married life on their farm here. Mrs. Wentworth was formerly Miss Lotta Cole of Tidxoute, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cole. slt;Sunday school was organized in the Torpedo church Sunday morning with the following officers elected: Superintendent, Miss Roberta Dey; assistant superintendent, Charles C secretaiy, Miss j Helen Eastman; treasurer, Miss Jean Palmer; Bible class teacher, Walter Covell; intermediate teacher, Charles C boys teacher, Mrs. Harold Covell; primary teacher, Mrs. Lillian C organist, « Miss Silva Dey; Librarian, Miss r-Helen Palmer; birthday missionary, Henry McConnell. Warren county missionary, Rev. B. F. Armstrong of Warren was present and helped organize. The Sunday school will meet every Sunday morning at 10.30 o’clock.Mrs. Glenn Eastman and daughter Helen, celebrated their birthday anniversary Sunday with a family dinner. Mrs. Eastman's birthday was Saturday April 19 and Helen’s birthday was April 21.A fine sermojt was delivered in the Garland Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the paster the Rev. Dwight Jack of Youngsviile. His next appointment will be May 4.
