Golden Wedding.Fifty years ago last Monday Capt, A. 13. Stedman, of this city, was married at Towanda, Penn., to Miss LiK'illu Miller, ami (heir golden wedding was duly cele’-ruted on that day. Mr. S. is 72 and his wife 73 years of age. They have six children, four sons and two daughters, all of whom were present last Monday, except the youngest son, who resides in Kentucky. They have twent-one grandchildren and all blit six were present. These were the children of Rev. \V. H. 8tedma*», of Detroit, Mich. Mr. Stedman has one brother and Ids wife has two brothers and two sisters living. Capt. Stedman has resided in Morris ten years. Prior to coming here he resided twenty-one years io Pike county, III., and was for six years on the bight police force of Cincinnati. C-apt. Stedman is one of our most reliable and highly respected citizens, and we most earnestly hope that he and his good wife may live many years. The reunion on Monday was a most interesting and enjoyable affair. We acknowledge a kind ln-si tat ion to be present, but was unable to accept, much to our regret.'flic venerable couple received many valuable presents from their children and graud-childrcn, among which were a gold-headed eane and a purse of gold coin for the Captain, from his son in Kentucky, mid a purse of gold coin for Mrs. Stedman.
