Ky., capital $jQ,000, and the Xenia National Bank, at Xenia, O., capital $120,000, to begin business.Colonel Hubert M. Douglas, son of the late Stephen A. Douglas, until recently United Slate* marshal for the Western District of North Carolina, failed to turn over upon a requisition written to his successor of that office, T. B.Keogh, certain records and papers said to belong to the marshal's office. The attorney general directed the. United States attorney for theWestern District of North Carolina to have Col. Douglas indicted tor the abstraction of government property. The court Is now in session. It is understood that the frieuds of Col. Doug*las justify his retention of the papers, on the ground that they are necessary to the proper settle men! of his acco ants. He is ex peel ed h ere shortly for'the purpose of making the settlement and will probably bring the papers with him, but it is said that the attorney general willInsist upou their being handed over to' his successor.Mr. Bandall claims the larger part of the Tennessee delegation, and it is hinted that he and ex-C-ongreaunan Atkins, who is a candidate for clerk of the house, have struck a bargain.
