’* Open house Sunday afternoon from 2 until 5 marked the silver wedding anniversary of Mr. andMrs. Alfred Pietsch, 613 John St.'The event was arranged by her sister, Mrs. John Woodruff of Chester, and their children, Miss Frances Ann Pietsch. a student at the Ohio Valley Hospital at Steubenville, and son, David, at home.Another son, Petty Officer Second Class and Mrs. Paul Pietsch and children, Charles and Nancy, were present. They hav$ been living in Norfolk, Va., for the past two years and are spending a delay en route before they go to Washington. Air Controlman Third Class Alfred Pietsch Jr., stationed at Quonset Point, R.I., was unable to attend.They were married April 17, 1930, in the parsonage of the Chester Christian Church by the Rev. L. A. Britton, who now resides in Malvern.Miss Ruth Eppley was bridesmaid and attended the open house.The former Ila McElfresh, Mrs. Pietsch is the daughter of Mrs. Lydia McElfresh of Chester and the late H. B. McElfresh. Her husband is the son of the late William Pietsch and the late Mrs. Frank Kennedy, formerly of Monaca.Both are members of the First Church of Christ and Pietsch is an elder and Sunday School superintendent.About 100 were served refresh-ments and those assisting were Mrs. James Metsch and Mrs. Ruth McKim, sisters of Mrs. Pietsch, and Mrs. Claire Littell of Beaver Falls, his sister, and Mrs. Earl Neiser.Pink and white carnations and snapdragons and lighted white tapers inscribed ”25” formed the setting for the three-tiered cake and pink linen cloth. Miniature steps' highlighted the cake and a bell and wreath with ”25” decorated the top. Guests were from Beaver Falls and Chester.
