Vocational-Technical School Haying Open House SaturdayThe area Vocational-Technical school at Chillicothe is holding an open house this Saturday morning starting at 9:30, and students, parents and all others in the Chillicothe and surrounding area who are interested are invited to visit the school.Information on the vocational-technical programs offered by the school will be available.The Chillicothe school is one of several new area vocational-technical schools approved by the Missouri State Department of Education in an attempt to make available Vocational-Technical programs in all parts of the state.Courses offered are: Distributive education, health services, secretarial practice, clerical office practice, agri-business, welding, farm and industrial equipment repair, auto mechanics, carpentry, electronics, heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning, and vocational drafting.Those attending the open house will have an opportunity to tour the new building and visit the classroom, laboratory, or shop of their choice and talk with the instructor.The area Vocational-Technical school provides new opportunities for the young people of north Missouri to attend a public school in their area.
