The exercises were held in the auditorium of the high school building, due to inclement weather, instead pf on the site of the old col--lege building, as had been planned.After the regular exercises in the auditorium, at which Dr. William L. Bryan, president of the University, was the principal .speaker, a tablet iyas placed in the center of the plot on which the building formerly stood.A picture was made of the crowd, and of Dr. Bryan and others gathered around the tablet. This photograph will be hemetically sealed and preserved among the University valuables, not to be opened until April 17, 2022, at the close of the second hundred years of the University’s , progress.Prof. E. E. Ramsey, superintendent of- schools, presided over the meeting, while Dr. Bryan spoke on ! s the significance of the University \ both to the children of 1822 and to i the.; r rf Prof. L. C.
