Robinettes celebrate 50th anniversaryROCKY’ GAP - Thornton and Judy Robinette celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently at the Rocky Gap Lodge Golf Resort. The event was celebrated and hosted by the immediate family.The Robinettes were mar tied March 30, 1957, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Father Hobbs.Judy is the daughter of the late Ernest Slider and MarvwMargaret Slider. Judy was born and raised in Flintstone and is retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company.Thornton is the son of thelate Ralph Robinette andClara Robinette. Thornton also was born and raised in Flintstone and is retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass Com pany and New DominionSchool.Thornton and Judy are the parents of four children: Rick Robinette and wife, Beth, Hagerstown; Lance Robinette and wife, Teresa,Export, Pa; Timothy Robi nette and wife. Tawny, Falling Waters, WVa.; and Jeffrey Robinette and wife, LuAnn. Winchester, Va. Thev also have six grandchildren:Amanda Robinette andfiancee; Joshua Robinette; Andrea Robinette; Matthew Robinette; Adam Robinette; and Zach Robinette.Thornton and Judv both came from a farm back ground and to this day continue to maintain that heritage. Both spend their time together on a daily basis maintaining the family farm. Thornton enjoys woodworking and gardening; and Judy enjoys quilt ing and maintaining her flower gardens. Most importantly, they embrace every moment of spending time with their children and grand children.
