O. Reed, city superintendent of parks had been in charge of the developments in Pioneer Park, and in this work he has -had the hearty co-operation of Canadohta Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. In fact, Mr. Reed states that the real credit for the work thus far accomplished toward, the permanent beautifying of this plot is due the D. A, R. Many Memorial Trees Mrs. Elizabeth Heouembourg. regent of Canadohta chapter, and Mrs. J. H. Harris, treasurer, have prepared a- detailed report of the work of the organization in Pioneer Park, and permitted The Herald to quote from this report for the general information of the citizens of Titusville, all of whom axe or should be interested in this civic improvement.Invitation has been extended to the citizens to plant memorial trees in the park and many have done so. The expense of such memorial trees has been about $6 per tree. To date the trees' planted have been American and Chinese elms, Norway maple and spruce and sycamore.A total of S404 has been received by the D. A. R. for this improvement and in wiil be of interest to readers of The Herald to know in whose memorv the various trees have been planted.
