Lust Thursday evening the following met j at Jno. Cumberworth’s to surprise Miss KmmaCmoll. it being her 17th birthday:; Misses Norma McNew, Hattie Bostic, Bessie Tatman, Grace Taylor. Stella Orrel!. Gertie Waters, Minnie and Anna Carroll Helen and India Pickett, Jas1 McNew and wife, Messrs. Geo. Hiday. Hamer Me Minds. Ed Waters, Chas. Corbin, Geo. Lawber, Frank Tucker, Wilbur O'Connor, Chas. Platt, Arlie Bostic, Oscar aud Allen Me Naw, Alfa, Ora and Ora! Pickett. Tony Pickett took Miss Emma for a buggy ride and during her absence the crowd gathered and the bouse being darkened on her return, sbe suspected nothing unusual and it being a late hour she came in quietly. As soon as she entered the light was turned up and the surprise was complete. At a late hour the guests quietly dispersed fcr their homes.
