Three Students ! Pass State Board, The Dr. Wagner Hospital - School of Vocational Nursing, I Shiner, is pleased to announce I that three of its students pass-1 ed State Board Examination in• Austin on March 25 and will be• issued Texas licenses to practice vocational nursing. Thei names of the successful candidates are: Mary Ann Dornak, (Annie (Fikac) Wagner, and (Dorothy Vincik.Including this group of licentiates, the State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners reports that there are currently over 18,055 persons holding Vocational Nurse licenses in Texas. However, it is reported that this figure still does not fulfill the need for Licensed Vocational Nurses on the health team to adequately care for the sick people of Texas.To be eligible for Vocational Nurse License, a person must be a graduate of a 12 month State approved program for the training of vocational nurses.The Dr. Wagner Hospital School of Vocational Nursing is offering a new class beginning either June 1 or September 1. Persons interested in enrolling should contact Mrs. Helen Rosier, R.N., at the hospital for particulars concerning the course.
