Born Sept. 22, 1887 in Studlcy, he came toHays in 1916. He was a professor of industrial arts at Fort Hays State College for 40 years.He was a member of First Methodist Church, Hays, and the Masonic Lodge.He is survived by the widow, Ruth; one son, James A., Hays; sisters, Mrs. Max Schropp, liox-ie, Mrs. Stella Pratt, Hays and Mr. Phil Pratt, Leavenworth; one brother, Charles, Studley; two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Revs. George Taylor and George Beebe officiating.
