Frame;! Copy ot “.Ain't God Good To Indiana” At Library. The Tipton library- has a beautiful framed- copy of the poem “Ain't God Good to Indiana,” by the poet for the Indianapolis News, William Herschcl. who died only several months ago.The copy was brought to Mrs. Sam Matthews, librarian, by the widow of Mr. Herschel, and framed and put in the library. The poem often is attributed to James Whitcomb Riley because of its homely philosophy and lines characteristic of the Hoosier Poet, but it, along with many other well known .poems, was written by Mr. Hersc.hel, whom a number of persons in Tipton county knew.
