the Mission Tea House for a snackand a cozy talk.• • *Dr. and Mrs. Robert B. Preble, yesterday announced the engagement of their niece, Miss Jaunuita L. Charter, to Edward L. Chase of New York. The news was told to Miss Charter’s intimate friends at a luncheon given by Mrs. Preble with unusually charming detail. There were flowers everywhere and each guest was given a dainty basket filled with Spring blossoms.Among the guests were: Miss Margaret Hosmer, Miss Virginia Hale. Miss Marjorie Mason, Miss Dorothy Walsh, Miss Edna Lavrrence, Miss Gracie Jones, Katherine Jones, Miss Inez Stone, Lillian Kent and Miss Barbara Preble. Miss Charter is an artist of uncommon talent and a girl of great beauty and charm. She and Mr. Chase, who is an illustrator of note, met at Woodstock, N. Y., celebrated as an artists' colony.
