Both men spoke, Mr Fee ha n talcing the opportunity to stress the importanceof the remarkable record and to congratulate Helvetia for having accomplished it. Mr McNeil expressed the thanks of the men in receiving the certificate.J. R Craig, private inspector of the R. P. Coal Company and Superintendent R. J. Patterson, of the Helvetia operations also expressed themselves as highly pleased with the fine record. Mr Patterson has been superintendent of the shaft for theentire period in which the safetyrecord was established, with the exception of the first month.
