R. 3.Bertha Thompson has been on the sick list for several days.The following persons spent Sunday with Ben Baer’s: Mr. and Mrs.Frank Cottingham and two daughters, Vera Elmore, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hinshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Vint Micksell and Jess Cope.Last Friday being the last day of the Valley school the patrons went in at the noon hour with well filled baskets and a bountiful dinner was spread which all enjoyed. After din- ,1 jner the scholars gave a programme which was fine for the number of scholars (fifteen).Hattie Porter and children spent Sunday with her sister Bertha Thompson.Delmar Elston and wife called on f Mr. Christman and wife Sunday evening.Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Chriswell and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Baer and sons Walter and George spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vanmeter, Mrs. Vanmeter has been real poorly for several weeks.Mr. and Mrs. Guy McCauley and daughter Eva spent the past week with his grandmother, Mrs. Frank Vanmeter.31\
