The 112th anniversary of Creole fire company No. 1, organised in 1819 will be celebrated April 27, with a banquet at the hall. Dearborn and St. Francis streets. The following are serving on the comrpittee in charge of the event: Marcine J.Wells, chairman: Rooney Petite, Ambrose Parker, Theodore Parker, with Captain A. S. Peres ex-officio ffhair-man# Creole No. 1 Is reported as being the oldest fire fighting company in this country and has been in continuous service since its organisation.
