Vernon E. DixonCORBIN, Ky. — Vernon E. Dixon, 72,of Corbin, Ky., a DuBois area native, died April 1 in Corbin, Ky.Graveside Services will be conducted at Morningside Cemetery Thursday at 11 a.m. by Rev. Robert Callihan. Arrangements are by the James H. Luther Funeral Home.Mr. Dixon was born March 8, 1908 at Shaffer Siding, near the present Mall. He was the son of Eli and Martha King Dixon. He was of the Protestant faith and an employee of the oil fields at Bradford, Pa. He had resided in Corbin the last two years.Survivors are a brother Percy Dixon of DuBois and a sister Mrs.’ Portia Crosby of Corbin, Ky. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, two brothers and a sister and numerous nieces and nephews.
