The official dedication of the Astrodome will be held Monday night, April 12, when the Houston Astros meet the Philadelphia Phillies in the Astros first official game of the National League season and their first championship game in the Astrodome, it was announced Jointly by the Houston Sports Association, County Judge Bill Elliott, and the County Commissioners.The dedication ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 7p.m., 30 minutes prior to the7:30 p.m. game.The Astrodome “premier” will be held Friday night, Apr. 9, when the Astros meet the New York Yankees. The premiere ceremonies are also scheduled to start at 7 p.m.Governor John Connally and county officials are expected to take part in bothceremonies • Praxedis Bab-boa, governor of the State oi Tamaullpas, Mexico, will alsobe on hand.
