Former Ohio Governor George White spoke before the third presentation of Marietta’s /treat pageant, ‘‘Wagons West/ whichhas a cast of 1,000.Dr. H. K. Everaull. president of Marietta College, expressed displeasure at President Roosevelt's statement that he had no inclination to become a ,4dietat-or.Addressing 2,000 persons at the annual pioneer day dinner tonight, Dr. Everaull said:“It is amazing that such a statement should be necessary or expedient in a land where the democratic tradition has been so firmly rooted.President Roosevelt made his statement recently in reference tp the government reorganization bill, which some Congressmen said would give the President dictatorial powers-When we look to the instrumentalities through which the doctrine of collective man has made its progress here In America, we find that many of our institutions of higher learning have developed strong sympathies with Communism or Fascism or some other Mms,’ *9 Dr. Eversull said.“Even in many of the secondary and grammar schools, sympathies with the various European brands of centralized government are not altogether absent-
