REGISTER AND POST-s Of Hotchkiss MarkAnniversary At Family DinnerResidents of Hotchkiss since March 19, 1925, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Keaton marked their golden wedding anniversary Saturday with a family dinner and gathering in their home hosted by their six sons and wives.Dinner was served at 1 o'clock, and a three-tiered anniversary cake decorated with red roses and topped with gold wedding bells was the focalpoint on the table. The cake was flanked with a planter of yellow mums from the Hotchkiss Baptist Church, which the couple attends, and an arrangement of red roses from their children.Mr. and Mrs. Keaton were married in a ceremony in a small station beside the railroad tracks at Hotchkiss with the Rev. T. J. Williams officiating, Mrs. Keaton recalls the minister conducted. services that evening at a Hotchkiss church. They established their first home at Itmann, where Keaton was employed by Itmann Coal CO., and farmed. They lived there until they moved to Hotchkiss.great-grandchildren.Five generations present were Mrs. Nancy Birchfield, 90, of Hotchkiss, her daughter, Mrs. Virgil Keaton, Mrs. Keaton’s son, Carl, and his daughter, Mrs. Elmer Acord and son, Thomas Dale of Meadow Bridge.Present Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Keaton, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Keaton of Lester/Mrs. Clara Murdock of Beaver, Mrs. Paul Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Crockett of Princeton, Mrs. Nancy Birchfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Birchfield and daughter, Gayle and grands cm, Michael, Mr. andThe couple’s six sons are Clinton of Buhl, Idaho, Walterof Hotchkiss, Jerry of Hillsboro, Carl of Meadow Bridge, Tom of Harper Heights, Beckley, and Frank of Hotchkiss.
