Mr. and Mrs. Blake were married in Tampa. Fla., at the home of Col-Mr. and Mrs. Manroy Wolpmann. of College Station: Mr. and Mrs. Alton Mueller and children of K1on Blake, an uncle of WeldonjCampo. and Jim Parker of San Blake. Mrs. Blake’a home was I Antonio, in Nashville, Tenn., where she'o —had met Mr. Blake when he was at Peabody College and Vanderbilt, where he completed his college work. Mrs. Blake was on a visit in Tampa when the wedding plans were culminated. Later they moved to San Marcoa where Mr. Blake was for many years an instructor in the S.W.T.S.T. College. After his retirement they came to Yorktown and have lived at the Blake ranch in the old Blake family home where Mr. Blake had apent his boyhood days. They have one daughter Mra. MiUer of San Antonio,Mrs. Alfred Kneifel was al home Sunday afternoon to s group of friends when she named her mother, Mrs. B. V. Smalley as honor guest on her 85th birthday. Roses, stocks, geraniums and sweetpeas added their beauty to the home.. During the afternoon the dining room was opened for the refreshments which were served from a candle lit table centered with sweet-pens and maiden-hair fern. Cakes, pies, sandwiches and coffee were enjoyed.~o -one granddaughter, Mrs. W. D.Curtis of Uvalde and five great- Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Bneger grandchildren. Their beautiful w«*e delightfully surprised lastlife has ben overshadowed by the tragic death of their three grandsons, Walter Blake Miller, and Weldon Miller, who crashed in a plane over Galveston Bay, and the recent death of Joe BallySaturday when a group of their friends remembered it was thoit lDth wedding anniversary.
