Ten Children OfCouple PresentOn AnniversaryHillview—A family dinner was held Sunday in the home of Mr. andMrs. George Powell of Hillview. The occasion marked their 49th wedding anniversary and also was in honor of Mr. Powell’s 71st birthday which occurred the previous week.Mrs. Powell is the former Addie Hunnicutt. The couple have spent their entire married life in the Hill-view vicinity. Mr. Powell is a retired mail carrier. The couple have thirteen children, one of whom, JohnPowell, Is deceased.Present at the affair were ten of their children and families; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Powell, Gilbert andBeverly; Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Powell, Jane and Judy; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Powell, James and Sue; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Powell and Floyd Powell all of Hillview; Mr. and Mrs. Max Powell of Bloomington; Lt. Adrain Powell, Scott Field,; Miss Sophia Powell, Carrollton; Mr. and Mrs. William Murgatroyd and Tommy. Jacksonville; Arthur Powell of Carrollton. Present also were Mrs. John Powell and children Doil, Dean. Bobby and Hal of Hillview; and Dick Lee of Roodhouse.Other children, George William Powell of Travers City, Michigan, and Captain Everett Powell stationed in England, were unable to be present.
