PHILIP NEIHEISEL.With nine of their ten children, twenty-nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and hundreds of friends present Mr. ' and Mrs. Philip Xeiheisel of Bfidegtown will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary this morning with high mass of thanksgiv-, Ing at the St. Aloysius Church, Bridgetown.Among the friends who will help the hearty old couple to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary will be Mr. and Mrs! Gustav Westricb, who witnessed their wedding. Rev. Father Herman Eliebrock of the SI. Aloysius Church will officiate at the golden redding services, Mr. and Mrs. West-rich will take their place beside the aged couple when they again take the vows of marriage.Philip Neiheisel is 73 years old and his wife 68 years. They were married in the Lady of Victory Church, Delhi, which still stands. On the day of their wedding the happy couple took up the life of farmers and have remained in the same dwelling since that day. Starting in with thirty-seven acres of ground, the Xeiheisels by hard work and close saving managed to add a little bit of ground to their plot each year. Several years ago the Neiheisel farm was the largest in the countryside near Bridgetown. It had about COO acres.Mr. and Mrs. Neineisel three years ago divided the farm among their children, who are all living in homes erected on their plots. The old couple kept enough ground surrounding their old horn© for a truck garden. Everyday when tho weather permits the couple can be seen working in their little garden patch.The Church in which the old couple will celebrate their wedding anniversary was built by Mr. Neiheisel, his father and brothers, in 1867, forty-eight years ago. During their entire lifetime the Xeiheisels have been among the staunchest supporters of the St. Aloysius Church, as have been their ten children and grandchildren.A desire that the old couple have held through the last- few years of their wedded life that their ten chil-J dren be present when they celebrate their fiftieth anniversary has been broken by the European war. One daughter, Sister Marie. Superior. of the St. Francis Home, Fifth avenue, New York City, is at present at the Mother House, Aachen, Germany. Because of the danger of ocean travel she was advised against trying to return to America in time for the celebration. The t other daughter. Sister * Mamerta of the St. Peter’s Hospital,* Brooklyn, N.
